Education:
In the year 1989 she finished Z. Paliashvili Tbilisi Special Music School. In 1990 she entered V.Saradhishvili State Conservatory Composer's Faculty in the class of Prof. Bidzina Kvernadze. In the year 1995 she graduated with honours from Composer's faculty by elaboration of the cycle opus "Psalms" (Literary text is taken from Bible) for mix choir, symphonic orchestra and solos.
At the same time in the year 1994 she entered the Music Science Faculty of the same Conservatory as fourth year student in the class of Prof. Lia Dolidze.She was graduated with honours from this class in 1996. (The Diploma Work "Establishment of the aleatoric in the piano creation of Cage, Stockhausen and Boulez in the 50-th years".)
In the year 1996 she entered the post-graduate course at the same Conservatory for composition field in the class of Prof.Nodar Mamisashvili. In 1998 she finished post-graduate course by elaboration post-graduate works: in composition- ballet "Mirror " (The own libretto) for Symphonic orchestra, mix choir and synthziser, and in orchestration learning methodology (Referate keeping)- "The group of percussions in Vienna Classics scores."
In 1999 she took part in master –class and seminars under the leadership of Lithuanian composer Osvaldas Balakauskas and Sweden composer Folke Rabe in Buckow (Germany), where her duet "Enigma N.2"for clarinet (In B) and piano performed and recorded at the concert by the students of Duisburg high music school.
From October 2000 to January 2001 she was guest-student with Prof. Walter Zimmermann's class (Training course) in Berlin "Hochschule der Kunste."
Awards, prizes, achievements:
In 1994 her romances for soprano and piano "Song of Siren ", "Pyramids," "Sonnet of Prayer" had been awarded Georgian Ministry of Culture Prize.
Listing in the case-bound Grand Edition 2000 Outstanding Musicians of the 20-th Century (International Biographical Centre Cambridge).

Main performances:
On February 1998 Maya Virsaladze's "The Triptych" performed in the Small Hall of Tbilisi State Conservatory.
On November 1998 the parts from her ballet "Mirror" performed by E.Mikeladze State Symphonic Orchestra.
On March 2001 her chamber choir-cantata "Alma Mater" performed in Berlin Catholic Church Wilmersdorf by "Junger Kammerchor Friedenau "(their commission).
On April 2002 in Odessa in the New-Music Festival "Two days and two nights of New Music " "Two wings" for accordion and violin performed by duet "Cadance" (commission).
On October 2002 in Vienna in "Days of Georgian Cultures " performed "Maeztoso" for Piano and "Ostinato" for instrumental ensemble.
On November 2002 in Moscow in the new-music festival "Russian Autumn " performed "Millennium" for piano and "Enigma N.2" for clarinet in B and piano.
On November 2002 In Switzerland performed "Two wings " for accordion and violin.
On 5 November 2002 in Erevan (Armenia) performed "Ostinato" for instrumental ensemble by Armenian ensemble "Aus drei".
On 13 December in Kiev performed "Two wings " for accordion and violin by Pavlo and Olena Pheniuk.
On 23 February –1 March 2003 in the Netherlands in Dutch-Georgian project will be performed "Remembrance"(Commission) for Saxophone Quartet by "Aurelia Saxophone Quartet".

Membership, participation:
Since 1998 she is a member of the Georgian Composers' and Music Scientists' Union.
Also since 1998 she is one of the founders and a member of the Young Georgian Composers' and Music Scientists Association.
Since 2000 she is a member of the International Project "European Composers' Informal Meeting" and in 2000 and in 2001 she took part in this project in Baku (Azerbaijan) and in Cracow (Polland) (this year project was part of the traditional "Composers Festival Of Krakow 2001 ") where her works for instrumental ensemble "Enigma N.1" and "Ostinato"was been performed and recorded.
